Abstract

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program helps develop psychosocial skills such as stress management. However, this program has not yet been evaluated with a population of young people living in a vulnerable context. A mixed research design made it possible to measure the effects of the MBSR program on perceived stress and the participants’ sense of personal self-efficacy (standardized questionnaires) and to document the implementation of the program with young people living in a vulnerable context (group and individual interviews with the participants, the facilitator and a practitioner). Different applications of the MBSR program are discussed.
