The Canadian Journal of Community Mental Health is Open Access

As most readers and authors will be aware, there is a worldwide shift occurring toward Open Access publishing for academic journals. The purpose of Open Access publishing is to make high quality journals available at no cost to readers and without article processing fees for authors. In turn, this will increase the journal’s readership and impact.

Accordingly, the CJCMH l transitioned to Open Access publishing on January 1,  2020. All articles published after this date are available after a 12-month embargo, i.e. delayed open access. There will be no article processing charges (apc)’ s for authors. Early access to embargoed articles within the first 12 months is available via subscriptions.

The Editorial Board of the journal is pleased that it has been possible to move to Open Access and is confident that this change will significantly increase access to the journal as well as increasing readership and impact.
